Encryption on the Free tier, on principle
Encryption is the floor, not the upsell. Every XeoNote tier ships with the same client-side AES-256-GCM. Free included.
It would be easier, commercially, to gate encryption behind paid tiers. We don't, and we won't.
Every XeoNote tier — Free included — uses the same client-side AES-256-GCM with PBKDF2-SHA256 key derivation at 600 000 iterations. The Free tier limits scale (50 notes, 256 KB per note, single user) but the cryptographic posture is identical to Enterprise.
Why we draw the line here
Privacy isn't a feature. It's the contract. If we charged for it, we'd be admitting it was optional - and that's the thing we're trying not to do.
